Policies     Return to Miscellany
1)  Ordering...
Upon ordering you will receive a confirmation from beth@ZazusStitchArt.com which is generated by my credit card processor. This email will also appear on your credit card statement. It may take up to ten days to make and package your order. You will  receive email notification from me the day your order mails out. If you do not receive your order in a reasonable time afterward, please email me.
3)  Fabric Substitutions...
While every attempt will be made to use the featured fabrics as pictured, sometimes shortages occur. In this case I will attempt to contact you using the email address you provided at checkout, and I will provide a picture of the new fabric for your approval. If I do not hear back from you for a number of days, I will make the fabric substitution and fill the order on time. I put great care into selecting attractive fabrics will broad appeal. Please contact me with problems.
4)  Returns...
Thirty day return policy with items returned at your expense. Please contact me for a return number:  beth@ZazusStitchArt.com.
5)  Putting a hold on an item or items…
The deposit on a wallhanging is $100; on a purse $50. At the end of the hold period (you tell me what you need) if I haven’t heard from you, I’ll give you a call to see where we are with things.
6)  Commissioning a wallhanging or purse similar to existing pieces…
Sadly, I can no longer do commissions on larger pieces. I believe special orders turn the creative process backward. With an order, I am no longer sewing to create with the resources and energies and inspiration I have, but trying to sew someone else’s vision. Instead of making what I feel is beautiful and what has a certain rightness in my eyes, I am constantly worrying that this will not be the aqua-y blue my customer had in mind. That this will not be her idea of a daisy.... Also, commissions seem to take three times as long as my regular projects. I can only hope that your connection to my work is strong enough that you will check back periodically, the stars will align, and you will fall in love with something I was inspired to create. (Of course if we have an ongoing relationship, any plan we have made together supercedes this policy.)

7)  Commissioning smaller pieces not available at shopZazus.com…
I will add your color choices to my regular work list and call you when the pieces are finished.  I will give you a time when they can be expected but can offer no guarantee in this situation. You are not obligated to accept the pieces if they aren’t satisfactory, unless they are unusual fabric choices, etc. (not sellable to others), and we discussed this fact going in. (In which case, I may ask for payment up front, and possibly a small set-up charge.)

8)  Alterations, work on commercial garments…
Please ask your friends to recommend someone to you.

9)  Pick Up/Drop Off...
By special arrangement.

10)  Problems...Questions...Ideas...
Please email beth@ZazusStitchArt.com. I would love to hear from you.
Let’s figure something out.  Beth Uda
