What’s New?
I plan to be at the Helena Farmers’ Market as much as I can this fall, on Fuller Avenue through October, and then out at the fairgrounds in November and December. It is good to be done with the summer shows and be able to focus on something steady, fun, and reliable. Purses, scarves and many functional items will be available in my booth or if you contact me directly. Please don’t forget that I offer a broader line, regular specials, an occasional clearance basket, as well as other incentives, in that venue.
Look for my fanciest potholders and a few new wall pieces at the Ho Ho Holter Gift  Sale at the Holter Museum in Helena.
I am de-emphasizing the webstore and may do away with it entirely, as the cost/work to maintain it is just not justifiable in my eyes.
I expect to be at the Best of the Northwest in Seattle, November 12-14, the Help Center’s Holiday Festival of the Arts in Bozeman, and the UC Art Fair in Missoula.
Please take a moment to read my Policies, if you are interested in commissioning work. I am happy to make exactly what you are looking for, if practical for us both.
Don’t forget to peruse Maddie’s Page, she’s the real artist in the family after all. I will be adding more images of her work this fall.
Thanks again for your support!

What is a stitch sampler?
Historically, a stitch sampler was a piece made by a beginning sewer to learn all the different stitches. I believe it usually included the name and age of the maker. I use the term for items that I use to discover new free-motion stitching patterns. Once I stitch a pattern that goes especially well with a fabric, I usually stay with it for some time. This is why it is fun now and then to make a large batch of potholders with fabrics I’ve never used before. I never know what will come out of my needle next and find its way onto the next wall piece!
